Ellie Nash: The School Quitter

Today in Period 5 at Anchor Beach Community Charter School, Callie ditched not just class, but school in general. Period 5 is only half-way through the day. Period's 1-4 are in the morning. Then it is lunch, and then Period's 5-8 are after lunch. I was doing my normal school things and then after school, I Jesus came up to me when I was rushing to find Callie and asked what was wrong. I told him I couldn't find Callie. We began searching and Mariana joined us. We buzzed Callie Jacob to the office, well almost twice. We did once and she didn't come. When we asked to call her again, they said that we should just go home and check and if she isn't there then we can come back and they'll send out a missing child (18 and under) report. We went home panicing and luckily, Callie was there. The office lady even said they got the Period 6-8 attendance and Callie wasn't present for any of them. Mariana, Jesus and I were all panicing to find Callie and we lucked out when we found her. The way back was stressful though. "If Stef and Lena are home, were doomed" I told them. "Callie is going to be in big trouble" I added. "That's why she went when she knew Stef and Lena weren't going to be home and that's why she did it" Mariana said. "She has rare chances to do that so she took this one" Jesus said. We were speed-walking to get home. We noticed they did the gravel and we were excited to ride our bikes later, but worried about Callie, which took away the excitement. Well, we have to go ride our bikes now.
